We're targeting a disciplined, intellectually curious, and creative individual who is comfortable operating in ambiguity — a strategic thinker with strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills. As a Business Integrity Planning Analyst within Business Integrity Operations, you will be directly responsible for ensuring that we effectively plan for and mitigate the risk associated with change in our demand, deeply understand demand-related issues that impact our users and ads platform globally, and work closely with Ops, Analytics, and Engineering partners to set the right business priorities and build effective long-term sustainable solutions that can adapt to rapidly changing product and business needs.

Business Integrity Planning Analyst Responsibilities

  • Work with internal Facebook teams (data engineering and science, data analytics, policy ops, partner management, capacity planning) to understand the inputs we are using, the trends we are seeing in actuals vs. forecasts as well as expected upcoming events to be used in the creation of the demand OpEx forecasts and plans to better predict what is expected to happen going forward.
  • Perform bi-weekly/quarterly and ad hoc demand control verification analyses and audits to understand the resources we have available, by area of the business, to support upcoming projects, as well as the expected impact if we were to approve the project if it is higher priority than other work that is being performed currently.
  • Perform variance vs. forecast analysis to understand how accurate our inputs, assumptions and demand plans are to identify areas of opportunity, and create continuous improvement plans to deliver more accurate forecasts each iteration.
  • Partner with key stakeholders (WFM, capacity planning, ops readiness, data analytics, etc.) to understand how they are using the information we provide, and what we can do to improve our deliveries to help them deliver value back to the business.
  • In collaboration with our customers and partners, serve as the end-to-end process owner for the items above in order to ensure the entire process is efficient, effective and at a high quality level to build trust and improve insights to guide the right business discussions and decisions.
  • Define and build OpEx demand forecasting, planning, tracking, and management capabilities to support both large scale data initiatives and smaller specialized initiatives with a global footprint.
  • Create, maintain, and manage data and analytics solutions that can adapt to dynamic product changes.
  • Work closely with tooling & analytics teams, operations leadership, and multiple cross functional teams to understand goals for key stakeholders.
  • Mitigate demand risks and provide demand control levers by managing dependencies across multiple operating units and sites.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic executive-level updates on status, insights, and trends to help inform and guide critical business decisions.
  • Lead the sizing and scoping of new projects and initiatives and provide analytical support to internal teams for initiatives and special projects.
  • Identify and communicate data-driven insights and associated solutions to key stakeholders, partners and leadership.
  • Support forecasting for volume, staffing levels, and resourcing needs when needed to enable operations teams to achieve strategic goals and optimize operations outcomes.
