DESCRIPTION

As a member of our sleep joint venture team, you’ll be helping to build tools and services that help diagnose and improve treatment for sleep conditions like obstructive sleep apnea. Undiagnosed apnea is estimated to cost the US $150B a year and is associated with deeper health conditions, such as diabetes and hypertension. Read more about this team in the press.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide leadership in building out the backend application and APIs used by the next generation of our mobile and web applications for our members, clinicians, and coaches.
• Drive launches with new customers and new care-provider platforms via data import/exports and robust API integrations.
• Work with data science and biostatistics teams to build pipelines from the product to enable robust analysis and new ML-powered care tools.
• Work with regulatory and test teams to improve automation and shorten release cycles.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines and deliverables.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience in one or more general purpose programming languages, including but not limited to: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Python, Go, Objective-C, Swift.
• Experience working with SQL database systems, building data pipelines, large-scale data processing systems and two or more of the following: distributed and parallel systems, asynchronous development patterns, developing large software systems, and/or security software development.

Preferred qualifications:

• Master’s, PhD, further education or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• Experience working on Data Privacy and Security in a regulated space is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to apply problem-solving skills to complex issues.
