Our Mars Digital Supply Chain Transformation is now accelerating to maximize the value we create and capture for our business. For Mars Petcare, our Smart Factory transformation is accelerating to focus on our digital ambition to make our factories smart, seamless, and touchless. We will enable this through four strategic pillars: Manufacturing Control Tower, Self-Optimizing Plants, Robotics & Automation, and Connection Associate. This is a hybrid role that can be located near any US or EU PetCare Hub.

The Global Manufacturing AI Leader is:

• Responsible for defining priorities & leading fundamental execution of activities to accelerate global adoption of Self-Optimizing Plant solutions

• Partners with our Data & Analytics team as a SME to develop internal scalable AI/ML solutions

• Drives innovation with our strategic partners and machine suppliers to have AI/ML capabilities built-in

• An active member of the Global Engineering community including the regional engineering/project teams.

• Is responsible for deploying his/her specific engineering know-how to support regional teams in their plant data systems execution.

• Providing leadership by heading up X-Function Technology Teams.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or IT

• 5-10 years professional experience working in a business environment

• 3 years experience leading and managing projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably regional and/or global teams.

• Good communication skills in English, both written as verbal.

• Prior work in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) - development and/or deployment of AI solutions

• Experience with OT and IT data

• Understands concepts such as Digital Twin, Predictive Maintenance, Large Language Models, AI/ML, and emerging cutting edge technologies

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Leading the global community of practice/experts for their respective pillar

• Providing Smart Factory know-how to support the execution of projects.

• Development/refinement and deployment of Pet Nutrition technology standards and strategy.

• Work on technical solutions and innovation which match the business requirements in alignment with regional and global teams.

• Maintain the relationship with the global partners and suppliers.

• Translate selected strategy into concepts into solutions.

• Maintain the technical knowledge in the field of expertise and regularly benchmark the standards.

• Actively support the engineering community in all regions.

• Collaborate with internal/external partners to drive SIG, Q&FS, and others via integration into our solutions and standards.
