This paid intern opportunity will give a student the ability to gain real-world experience in the field of corporate IT program management in a global multinational enterprise. The ideal candidate will be preparing for a career in program management and will have experience in management, data science, and modern enterprise software such as Microsoft Suites. The candidate will assist a team of program managers in delivering ongoing services to our valued client partners.  

Duties & Responsibilities

• Partner with the existing project team via virtual and in-person meetings to monitor the well-being of ongoing projects. (client meetings)
• Meet with clients for data gathering meetings to understand client wants and needs.
• Create detailed project plans/ roadmaps for new statements of work and perform weekly status calls regarding timeline health with clients. (Microsoft Projects)
• Assist in the contracting process including contract drafting, labor projections, pricing, and timeline generation.
• Assist the Project Team with other one-off assignments as they become available.

Required Skills & Experience

• Must be currently enrolled in a related accredited university program, working towards a bachelor’s degree in business management, data science management, or related.
• Focus/major is preferred, and completion of the current program will take no later than December 2024.
• Intermediate proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including TEAMS, and Excel skills. (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, charts, graphs, formulas, and financial functions)
• Professional workplace communication skills.
• Understanding of project planning, analysis, and reporting.
• Ability to work remotely. Access to the Itron location in San Antonio, Texas is a plus.
• Experience using digital workplace collaboration tools and resources (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, etc.).

Preferred Skills & Experience

• Experience in data science.
• Understanding of Agile Project Management or relative IT product delivery methodology.

Travel: 0 - 10%
