About the Role

The EMRge platform is an innovative data platform and client application that enables Ovative Group to deliver proprietary, data-driven solutions to our demanding, trailblazing client base. As the Product Owner, the ideal candidate combines their technical knowledge of modern data architecture, UX and martech/adtech solutions with a desire to build requirements and steer priorities to deliver a platform that enables client and product teams to leverage data to drive measurable results.

This candidate must be self-directed, comfortable managing multiple stakeholders and use their curiosity, passion, and product thinking to identify and deliver what is possible. This role demands a deep understanding of data technologies and agile methodologies, merged with effective communication skills and the ability to define and prioritize features based on value. This role will be a pivotal one in helping Ovative build platform capabilities and experiences that retain our distinctive position in the market and continue to elevate technology as a central part of our value proposition.

Responsibilities of a Product Owner:

Agile Product Ownership:

  • Act as the primary liaison between business and technical stakeholders and development teams, ensuring clear communication of product vision and goals.
  • Create and manage the product backlog, refining and prioritizing features based on customer value and feedback.
  • Define user stories and acceptance criteria, working closely with development teams to refine, break down, estimate effort and ensure understanding.
  • Continuously prioritize and reprioritize the backlog to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration within the agile team, fostering a culture of transparency and continuous improvement.

Know your Product:

  • Be the “voice of the product” and an acknowledged expert on
  • The Emerge platform’s users, use cases, and customers -- internal and external, current and future
  • How your product works, training and demoing capabilities to others in the organization, and handling enablement and support for other teams building capabilities atop the platform
  • The broader marketing measurement technology domain including the competitive landscape and relevant industry trends

Collaborate and Evangelize:

  • Lead collaboration to solve problems with a focus on outcomes (over outputs) and learning grounded in how the product is used and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Work with developers and product designers collaboratively and respectfully, involving them early
  • Manage stakeholders across Ovative as a true partner who is genuinely committed to their business success by building mutual respect and trust
  • Constantly evangelize the platform’s vision and strategy in ways that motivates and inspires the product team and various stakeholders alike

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in a professional role
  • 2+ years of experience as a product owner, with preference toward experience in digital marketing technology, data engineering, or marketing analytics
  • Demonstrated experience working in an agile product development methodology using industry best practices
  • Experience developing products from ideation, through scoping and requirements gathering, to development, rollout, and maintenance
  • Demonstrating excellent communication, critical thinking, and facilitation skills in a collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in research and analysis using data to develop useful insights

Preferred:

  • Previous experience in marketing media and measurement
  • Experience working with data engineering, sciences, and analytics

Pay Transparency

At Ovative, we offer a transparent view into three core components of your total compensation package: Base Salary, Annual Bonus, and Benefits. The salary range for this position below is inclusive of an annual bonus. Actual offers are made with consideration for relevant experience and anticipated impact. Additional benefits information is provided below.

For our Manager positions, our compensation ranges from $79,000 to $132,000, which is inclusive of a 20% bonus
