Job Description

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of software development experience, or 8 years with an advanced degree.
• Experience with software development using C++.
• Experience with distributed systems.

Preferred qualifications:

• Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience with networking.
• Experience with technical leadership, leading project teams, and setting technical direction.
• Ability to set and drive the technical strategy while also having the capability to provide detailed technical guidance to the team, enabling them to execute effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams building highly available, reliable, scalable network infrastructure services that can handle Google scale services.
• Collaborate closely with engineering managers, software engineers and product managers in the Cloud Networking organization.
• Drive software best practices and architectural considerations on a project-wide level.
• Work with management to mentor and grow all members of the team.
