Key Qualifications

• Expert in Swift, Objective-C, C, or C++
• Experience building libraries, frameworks, and command-line tools
• Experience building iOS and watchOS apps with basic UI/UX design
• Strong grasp of Apple’s development APIs (UIKit, Cocoa, etc.)
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, complexity analysis, problem solving and diagnosis
• Deep understanding of multi-threaded programming and synchronization
• 5-7+ years of software engineering experience

Description

The team you will join and help lead is responsible for creating product features for Apple’s wearables, home products, and future devices. We are highly collaborative and partner with a variety of product teams across Apple including Watch, Siri, Accessibility, Home, Health, Audio Products, and others and have shipped features like Handwashing and Raise to Speak on the Apple Watch. As a member of MIST, you will work closely with machine learning and software engineering experts to design and build the next generation of sensing experiences. Responsibilities: * Guide new features from early prototype to shipping product * Lead architectural discussions, evangelize our values, and collaborate with partner teams to align on product goals * Diagnose, triage, fix, and prevent issues related to functionality, reliability, and performance * Design and build testable software

Education & Experience

BS or MS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

Additional Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and modify large, existing codebases
• Experience designing high performance software and algorithms for resource constrained embedded systems
• Experience with signal processing, machine learning, and using sensor data to power novel use cases and applications
