Job Description

We are seeking a self-motivated Data Visualization Engineer to join our Strategic Analytics team in either Jersey City, NJ, Philadelphia, PA or Hartford, CT. 

Job Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and business partners to develop and implement wireframes aimed at business actions based on data driven insights
• Develop dashboards based on the wireframes
• Data analysis to source the data from different sources for dashboards
• Develop & implement visualization best practices across the team
• Build POC's to explore new features, tools & technologies

Required Skills/Experience

• Must have 5-7 years of experience in Data Visualization development
• Ideal candidate would have 1-2 years of experience in Power BI visualization tool along with prior experience in any other visualization tool
• Must have extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries to pull the data into visualization tool and for querying data for analysis purpose
• Must have hands on experience in pulling data from various data sources and build complex data models (Star Schema/ Snowflake) in visualization too

Desired Skills/Experience

• Experience in pixel perfect reporting would be plus (Paginated Reports/SSRS)
• Experience in building geo mapping capabilities in the visualization tool would be plus as well as embedded BI solutions leveraging Angular JS 
• Experience in R/Python scripting would be plus
• Experience in building ADF pipelines would be plus
• Intermediate experience in Power Automate (Microsoft Flow/Power Apps)
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• A mind set of continued learning, and the desire to explore new tool choices and understand how data can be used to drive change
• Ability to handle technical tasks/problems independently
• Exceptional written and verbal communication, including the ability to explain complex concepts
