Job Description

Responsible for developing and delivering data solutions to accomplish technology and business goals. Codes design and delivery tasks associated with the integration, cleaning, transformation and control of data in operational and analytics data systems. Works with stakeholders, Product Owners, and Software Engineers to aid in the implementation of data requirements, performance analysis, research and troubleshooting. Familiar with the data engineering practices of the bank. Contributes to story refinement/defining requirements. Participates in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle. Understands and utilizes basic architecture components in solution development. Codes solutions to integrate, clean, transform and control data in operational and/or analytics data systems per the defined acceptance criteria. Works across development teams to understand and aid in the delivery of data requirements Assembles large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional requirements. Builds processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, data quality controls, dependency and workload management. Defines and builds data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business. Contributes to existing test suites (integration, regression, performance), analyzes test reports, identifies any test issues/errors, and triages the underlying cause. Documents and communicates required information for deployment, maintenance, support, and business functionality. Adheres to team delivery/release process and cadence pertaining to code deployment and release Identifies gaps in data management standards adherence and works with appropriate partners to develop plans to close gaps.   • Support of complex and time critical suite of ACH applications
  • Support interfacing applications that interact with ACH Payments
  • Support the implementation and testing of QA/QC processes within Payments Platform
  • Ensure compliance with SLAs and standards for response and remediation
  • Escalate gaps and issues timely
  • Execute Payments specific processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide Standards
  • Foster the Identify, Escalate, Debate risk culture and mitigation
  • Excellent communication skills; proven experience in communicating to leadership via Microsoft suite of tools
  • Applied Agile processes where applicable
  • Capacity and Performance analysis and reporting with automation capabilities
  • Release Management support and adherence
  • Develop and defines solution to build data pipelines that enable faster, better, data-informed decision-making within the business.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum 5-10 years in ACH PEP+ technology within past 5 years
  • 5+ years relevant experience in payment role within Banking domain knowledge, Payments (WIRE, FX, ACH, RTP) processing across channels
  • The strongest candidates will have a love for problem solving, great partnership and communication skills, deep operational subject matter expertise, and the ability to envision, communicate and execute strategic planning and remediation of issues.
  • Strong understanding of NACHA/PEP+ Payments
  • Knowledge and usage of Microsoft tools
  • Strong high level and low level design skills
  • Knowledge of working with mainframe and midrange applications
  • Full software development life-cycle experience
  • History of success in delivering technology change, project execution and delivery with deep knowledge of Technology platforms, applications, processes, and procedures
  • Ability to work with many interfacing applications within the organization
  • Installation of vendor software a plus
  • Ability to build/maintain significant and complex applications
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate, influence, drive through issue resolution minimizing risk
  • Ability to work within policies that govern technology from programming standards, engineering design, maintenance ,application activities, compliance, risk and security standards
  • Organized, poised under pressure, excellent communicator, execution focused
  • Familiar with Audit, compliance and risk, as well as upstream and downstream applications within a large financial Institution environment

Desired Skills:

  • Capacity and performance data analysis
  • Release Management/CRQ – MRA knowledge desired
  • ACH Operational Tools
  • Overall AGILE knowledge and application and practices a plus
  • Scrum Master is a plus
  • Knowledge and direct usage of Endevor, Spufi, File Manager preferred
  • Knowledge of MQ and other messaging services
