Responsabilities

• Designing new/using existing methodologies, pulling necessary data, building/optimizing statistical and machine-learned models achieving the highest business impact (from a profitability standpoint) and analyzing experiments, applying critical thinking throughout. Solving the problem should be the priority, then using the state of the art technology.

• Work with large/medium datasets to solve difficult ad-hoc analysis problems, applying advanced analytical methods and conduct end-to-end analyses, including data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis and arrive at an answer that could be translated into business recommendations.

• Extending company’s data with third party sources of information when needed.

• Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems.

• Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis.

• Creating automated reports in order to track models performance in a timely and accurate manner.

• Interact cross-functionally, making business recommendations with effective presentations of findings at multiple levels of stakeholders through visual displays of quantitative information, informing decision making.

• Work to solve defined problems with a completely flexible approach and being mostly self-managed.

• Collaborate with data engineers to develop automated orchestration of data pipelines in order to provide the proper data to the models developed and implemented.

• Help define the analytical direction and influence the direction of the associated engineering and infrastructure work.

• Document the methodology used, results obtained, in a clear manner for reproducible research and help other team members to solve problems in a faster way.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Statistics, Operations Research, Bioinformatics, Economics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent practical experience.

• 30 years of work experience in data analysis related field.

• Experience with statistical software (e.g., Python, pandas) and database languages (e.g., SQL

• Experience working with Data Science/Machine Learning software and libraries such as TensorFlow, Keras, Pytorch, scikit-learn, etc.

• Demonstrated skills in selecting the right statistical tools given a data analysis problem.

• 10 years of production programming experience in Python.
