Job Description

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate the integration of Syneos Health's machine learning, simulations models, and advanced analytical techniques into clinical trials, with the objective to achieve real-world outcomes including acceleration, risk mitigation, and cost reduction. 
  • Design and maintain code, algorithms, documentation, and related assets in a precise and sustainable manner. 
  • Collaborate with subject matter and technical experts to strategize analyses, utilize existing algorithms/tools, and derive actionable insights. 
  • Ensure that outputs, including data visualization and associated messaging, are of consistent high quality and ready for client presentation. 
  • Collect feedback from the application of models, contributing to model refinement and the development of innovative tools/features. 
  • Undertake other relevant duties as necessary. Limited travel may be required (up to 25%). 

Qualifications

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 

  • Possession of a Master's or Ph.D. degree or equivalent professional experience, with a significant focus on quantitative and computational analysis.
  •  Extensive expertise in areas including machine learning, statistical modeling, simulation, and optimization. Additionally, must have substantial knowledge and expertise in at least one of the following: Deep Neural Networks, Probabilistic Programming and Bayesian methods, Causal Inference, Large Language Models, Optimization.
  •  Comprehensive programming experience, specifically with Python and its machine learning libraries, SQL, and git.
  • Adherence to best practices for crafting maintainable and modular code.
  • Acquaintance with cloud platforms (e.g., AzureML), distributed computing, and big data technologies is a plus.
  • Stellar data visualization capabilities complemented by a knack for data-driven storytelling.
  • Superlative verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Acute problem-solving acumen, combined with critical thinking and a history of devising innovative solutions to intricate challenges.
  • Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, overseeing multiple projects concurrently, and ensuring timely results.
  • A foundation in life sciences or healthcare is advantageous; a fervent interest in enhancing patient lives is indispensable.

Working hours: Willingness to work Eastern hours

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $102,600 to $178,600. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
