Job Description

What You’ll Do

• Drive planning and prioritization of projects based on product, technical, and business goals by leveraging relevant resources and data. 
• Work cross functionally with colleagues in Machine Learning, Product, and Analytics teams to build production machine learning models; your models will decide who we lend to in real time, and how we interact with our existing customers
• Build APIs and data models to work within micro-service and event-driven architectures
• Take an active role in mentoring junior engineers, and the processes that support team growth and efficiency
• Design, develop, and deploy infrastructure for the training, testing, and serving of models at scale

What We Look For

• 4-7 years proven experience as a software engineer.
• Ability to synthesize complex business, product, and technical requirements to consistently produce high quality system designs and software
• Proficiency writing production-quality software following software engineering best practices, preferably industry engineering experience with machine learning projects (e.g. recommendation, ranking, optimization)
• Foundation in machine learning with experience implementing and optimizing machine learning models is a plus.
• Hands on experience with Python/Kotlin, Airflow, and AWS (EC2, EMR, etc.) a plus
• Ability to work efficiently both solo and as part of a team; willingness to learn new things
• Passion and drive to change consumer banking for the better, while developing a deeper understanding of applied machine learning

Pay Grade - ESP30

Employees new to Affirm or promoted into a new role, typically begin in the min to mid range.

ESP base pay range per year:

Min: €71,700

Mid: €89,600

Max: €107,500

We are able to offer visa sponsorship for this role, but do require that someone is based in Spain for the role.
