Job requirements

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partners with internal teams to develop and manage data policies, standards, practices, and processes for data stewards, information technology teams, and enterprise stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains business glossary and data catalogue for domain data attributes, log data and process issues, perform data analysis, design, definition, and profiling.
  • Performs tasks such as documenting process flows, challenges & issues, and target state recommendations.
  • Executes Data Quality initiatives to improve accuracy, completeness and timeliness of data required for decision-making across the organization.
  • Collaborates with Data Owners to identify, understand and prioritize data quality issues and identify opportunities to improve the use and consumption of their data.
  • Provides leadership to Data Stewards by helping define roles, processes, success metrics and recruiting, mentoring individuals into the Data Governance steering and working groups.
  • Supports analysis and/or development of Data Governance progress and quality performance measurements
  • Lead the team to build and implement processes and improve the performance of data management and governance across the organization.
  • Build and implement cross functional processes related to stakeholder influence, continuous improvement pipeline, budgeting, onboarding, and new team integration to ensure goals, expectations and commitments are consistently met across the organization.
  • Provide leadership to identify variances from the project plan, propose alternatives and implement the preferred recommendations.
  • Provide more complex business model design plans for development.
  • Lead the team to assess and prioritize requirements and align with process advisors across the organization.
  • Data Governance Tool and Data Quality Tool Implementation . Alation preferred, Collibra , Informatica , Talend, Ataccama, Experian, Collibra .

Work Experience SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong data champion who consistently works with Business and IT to help define and implement data governance organization
  • Minimum 6-10 years' experience working in a data management or equivalent organization role (Data Management / Data Governance or BI / Analytics team)
  • Experience in managing and implementing data catalogs for data governance policies
  • Understanding of data management concepts and associated business processes and tools, specifically Data Governance, Master Data Management, Data Modelling, Metadata Management, Data Quality
  • Experience using Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality tools
  • Bachelors or higher degree in computer or data science, mathematics, information management, information technology, or related fields.
  • Ability to work independently while being able to contribute successfully to cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated experience to collaborate with colleagues and take a business-oriented approach while identifying and balancing risks and providing succinct, accurate and pragmatic advice.
  • Exceptional analytical skills, independent judgment, a desire to learn, and an ability to take on and prioritize a wide variety of complex matters.
  • Can-do attitude, able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines and a high volume of projects
