General Role Overview:

  • The Sr. Data Scientist will be responsible for partnering with key business stakeholders and leveraging internal Fisker and industry data to develop predictive algorithms and models. The primary focus of the Sr. Data scientist will be to identify trends in data to glean meaningful business insights and drive cross-functional business solutions via statistical data analysis and advanced analytics techniques in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML). The individual will also work closely with our business partners to support the various stages of the analytics development lifecycle and, specifically, productionize models in a timely and efficient manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leverage strong communication skills and business acumen to work closely with cross-functional business owners to drive data and analytics technologies for business use.
  • Design, develop and implement predictive/analytical algorithms and statistical data modeling tools to derive insights for complex business operations and processes.
  • Implement scalable, efficient processes for large scale data analyses, model development and model deployment.
  • Be responsible for effectively communicating insights, findings, test results, performance analysis to both functional teams, and the senior management along with recommendations for enhancements/improvements.
  • Continually drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques. Constantly upskill and remain fully updated with the evolving data and analytics community.
  • Provides technical advice, support and guidance to junior data scientists and ML engineers on navigating ML/AI modeling work for real-world business problems on a case-by-case basis.

Job Specification:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience required
  • Master’s degree in computer science or computer engineering preferred.
  • Marketing and Automotive Experience Preferred.
  • Have a good understanding of data analysis and advanced analytics with exposure to AI/ML and technologies within the cloud environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in statistical and data manipulation languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and familiarity with Confluence and JIRA.
  • Critical thinking, effective writing, and verbal communication skills are also require

Expected Salary Range: $120,000.00-$155,000.00 a year.

Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker’s equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
