Job Description

Vimeo is looking for an experienced Product Designer with innovative thinking and AI expertise to join the Generative AI team. If you're skilled at using design to generate new ideas and can gather feedback effectively, please apply.

This role will report to the Product Design Director, AI and work horizontally across the product design team on initiatives that involve generative AI. It’s an exhilarating chance to become a part of a highly skilled and enthusiastic team, collaborating on groundbreaking technology ventures within the realms of AI, machine learning, and language models.We need a pragmatic, detailed-minded designer with a strong desire to create amazing products! Someone who has a strong visual point of view and loves working quickly to generate many different ideas.

What you’ll do:

• Under guidance, create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and solutions to stakeholders.
• You will employ visual systems to ensure that your designs are in harmony with the broader product ecosystem.
• Lead the entire design process for multiple concurrent projects, from inception to launch, as the sole designer for this team, ensuring all products meet the highest quality standards.
• Work with the AI product team head to craft an engaging product vision for the business unit and establish effective design principles and connections with stakeholders.
• Work in close collaboration with cross-functional teams, encompassing product management and engineering, to gain insights into both business and user requirements and transform them into product designs.

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• At least 2 years of professional experience in product design.
• Outstanding abilities in interaction design, visual design, and product thinking, supported by a robust portfolio featuring web and mobile designs.
• Demonstrated expertise in Figma, robust prototyping abilities coupled with a track record of conducting user research and usability testing to collect feedback and insights that guide design choices.
• Capable of making thoughtful trade-offs and swiftly implementing designs without sacrificing quality.
• Strong communication and presentation skills to convey design decisions effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product and Software Engineers, as the sole designer.

Bonus points (nice skills to have, but not needed):

• Basic understanding of machine learning, AI, and language models.
