Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
As a NAM Senior Manager Retail Data Science/Analytics at adidas, you are responsible for informing the adidas retail data foundation and delivering cutting-edge data to stakeholders, enabling them to make fact-based decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
Scope: Accountable for a specific digital analytics practice
- Collaborate with retail leadership and partners to engineer & deliver complex data solutions in retail.
- Development of best practices for data foundation capabilities and Retail projects including Data Science. Potential focus areas are:
Retail Business Performance analytics
Retail Operational Analytics
Retail Experience Analytics
Retail Marketing Analytics
- Proactively contribute Retail data foundation requirements on a plan to achieve that vision.
- Support analytics partners with project management and act as bridge, or single point of contact to global data science solutions
- Provide stakeholders with actionable recommendations and calls for action based on your gathered insights. Translate gathered insights into engaging, actionable and easy to digest insights presentations.
- Maintain a strong stakeholder network with high level of trust that facilitates action-ability of insights.
- Drive the implementation and use of data driven decision processes, in line with a fact-based decision culture.
- Direct training or provision of training to analytics community members on use of data sources, data processing techniques, pipeline development, and reporting / analysis best practices.
- Co-initiate and help implement new reporting structures or refine existing structures within your area of responsibility in alignment with Global and NAM Retail Analytics Frameworks and Data Governance.
- Help distill best practice guidance to other markets and other adidas stakeholders to maximize the use of analytics capabilities.
- Build a strong internal and external network, informing the adidas Retail Analytics community on the latest trends and technological advances.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- A passion for delivering data-based recommendations for quantifiable improvements in business results and consumer satisfaction.
- Very good communication skills, comfortable presenting complex topics to stakeholders at various organizational levels both in-person and remotely
- Very good presentation skills and storytelling
- People management skills are a big plus
- Extensive experience with BI, Financial, Merchandising processes, tools and KPIs
- Extensive project management skills, including the ability to lead projects or work on several projects simultaneously
- Extensive experience with analytics tools and awareness of disciplines (web, eCom, social, mobile, sentiment, paid media, SEO, SEM, CRM, SQL etc.).
- Extensive experience with visualization techniques.
- Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent English both verbally and written
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- University degree in the field of Business or equivalent
- 8+ years of experience in Digital Analytics or Data Science
- Extensive experience in BI or Data Engineering environment
- Experience in leading and scaling a team is a plus
- Experience in eCommerce environment
- Experience of digital marketing in a brand environment
