The Package

The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Technical Consulting Manager, to fill a business role where success is measured by business growth as well as positive social impact.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

  • Manage and develop relationships with existing client project teams
  • Oversee consultant engagements to ensure their success
  • Pursue contract renewals and identify new opportunities for expansion at existing clients
  • Determine the resourcing requirements of consulting opportunities, ensuring that resources are allocated optimally
  • Hold regular reviews with clients to agree parameters of success and confirm their satisfaction with the service being delivered
  • Have (and document) regular conversations with consultants to ensure clarity regarding client project objectives and personal career development
  • Oversee team performance and agree tailored professional development plan with each individual consultant
  • Regularly brief internal and external stakeholders on the status of each engagement
  • Be the main point of contact for technical queries and the resolution of technical issues arising from our consultants
  • Understand the strengths and weaknesses of each consultant, helping them develop their career via training and acquiring relevant certifications
  • Collaborate with job coaches to support consultants and ensure their job satisfaction
  • Record client feedback at the end of each project for potential use in case studies
  • Maintain consultant profiles and record details of their engagements

Key Requirements

We are looking for the following skills and experiences.

Essential

  • You are a highly motivated and ambitious individual who wants to combine business success with social impact
  • You “know” IT. You have had experience of software development, exposure to data science and/or cyber security, and an understanding of Python, SQL, and other relevant technologies
  • You have worked in technical account management/client service roles for a few years, with experience of enterprise-level engagements
  • You are adaptable and able to work in dynamic environments within which circumstances, direction, and even strategy may change
  • You are a precise communicator able to flex your communication style as required

Desirable

  • Experience of leading training/education programmes
  • Development experience with Microsoft’s Power Platform
  • An understanding of/experience of working with autistic individuals
