Texas Instruments (TI) is looking for an Industrial Engineer Intern to support our manufacturing operations. Here’s your opportunity to work in a vibrant and dynamic team-oriented environment with exposure to a variety of state-of-the art applications each day. As a Module Industrial Engineer Intern, you will support efforts to maximize fab output, effective utilization of assets, and evaluation of supply commitment. You will support ensuring alignment with stakeholders through multi-department meeting coordination and understand the process changes impacting capacity.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Apply Industrial Engineering concepts to line management, capacity analysis, scheduling, and production planning
  • Utilize planning systems, including capacity models and data analytics to analyze throughput impact of various process changes
  • Utilize and build performance metrics to understand key issues and identify production concerns
  • Analyze data, make data driven decisions and provide recommendations to stakeholders based on structured problem-solving methods and appropriate statistical applications
  • Identify opportunities to optimize deliverables such as constraint/bottleneck performance, cycle time, cost, and/or capital expenditures
  • Understand basic factory dynamics (scheduling, cycle time, etc.) and manufacturing configurations
  • Maintaining modeling data integrity using change control principles, regular monitoring and frequent communication with stakeholders
  • Identifying opportunities to improve cycle time and increase ability to support operational decision making
  • Create analytical web-based reporting (Spotfire, SSRS) to develop metrics and help with planning decision making.
  • Utilize programming methods (Python, R, VBA etc.) to improve and automate tasks in the planning system/models.
  • Maintaining records and reporting systems for measurement of manufacturing operations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, System Engineering, Data Science, Math, Statistics, or similar technical degree
  • Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
  • Ability to work in clean room environment wearing smock
