We are looking for a seasoned Solution Engineer/Solution Architect (Customer Facing Role) 

This role will partner with a number of high-value large enterprise customers and lead and support our sales team in their customer engagements (pitch-> custom demo -> pilot). You will play a crucial role in guiding customers in their sustainability, technical and data transformation strategy, utilizing and coordinating a broader Terrascope cross functional team.

This role will lead the technology element of the engagement and transformation, and also will work with strategic partners, Product, Engineering while owning the overall engagement and the corresponding executive relationships (e.g., CTO, CIO, Director of Cloud Strategy, IT stakeholders, etc.)

This role will report to the Chief Customer Officer, partnering closely with the CTO, and Co-Head of Data Science and Implementation.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and deliver bespoke customer product demonstrations and, workshops to business and technology teams to address blockers and build action plans
  • Collaborate with team members (sales, product, IT and data science) and customer stakeholders to understand and identify technical requirements
  • Ability to wear the customer's shoes and imagine yourself in the customer's position
  • Educate and engage with IT engineers and C-level executives, technical and business professionals on organizational transformation challenges and best practices
  • Identifying motivators for sustainability data adoption and unblocking challenges
  • Defining and executing on the strategy by engaging highly technical teams (Specialist Solutions Architects, Technical Account Managers, professional services consultants and consulting/managed services partners).

You should have:

  • Candidates for this position must be highly motivated, tenacious, and self starters
  • Passion for customers, data and sustainability
  • Experience in SaaS implementation
  • Experience serving in the capacity of a technical sales engineer in SaaS or cloud computing environment or equivalent customer-facing role
  • Background in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOpsExperience driving technical and/or organizational change of significant complexityTechnical Degree (Computer Science, Maths, Engineering or equivalent) and/or relevant tech experience
  • Experience designing, building, refactoring or operating large scale and impactful IT systems - either on premises or in the cloud
  • Working knowledge of cloud native architectures
  • Knowledge of a modern programming language (Python, JavaScript, Go, .Net, Java, etc.) and/or scripting, Infrastructure as Code etc
  • In-depth working knowledge in a technology domain such as distributed internet-scale web or mobile applications, DevOps, Serverless, Big Data, Analytics, Machine Learning, enterprise workloads (SAP, VMware, Windows etc.), high-performance databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), complex networking implementations, highly secured workloads etc
  • Experience working in a customer-facing role
  • Experience with public speaking
  • Certification in Azure or AWS or GCP

Even better if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of technical sales experience or professional consulting experience in systems integration, large scale data transfer/management, and enterprise database performance
  • Experience with data architecture standards, guidelines, and best practices (including but not limited to Core Systems, ERP, CRM, Data Lake-house, Data Fabric, external interfaces, etc)
  • Experience in IT and Implementation in Food and Beverage, Agri and Industrials business
