About the role: 

The ideal candidate will have a strong product management background, a proven track record in leading teams, and a deep understanding of product management disciplines. This role requires an individual with experience working with large data sets, ideally geospatial in nature, and capable of leading efforts in driving scale, efficiency, and value out of large data sets. 

In this role, you’ll

  • Lead and scale the product management team, fostering a creative and productive environment
  • Oversee large data products' design, development, and launch, ensuring they meet quality and performance standards
  • Bring experience dealing with massive data sets built from 1st and 3rd-party data sources
  • Demonstrate familiarity with big data technologies, including but not limited to Hadoop/MapReduce, Spark, Kafka, and various NoSQL Databases (Cassandra, MongoDB, etc.)
  • Stay updated and ensure the utilization of the latest industry developments to enhance our data products
  • Exhibit a proven track record of building and implementing machine learning models that add value to our products
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering team to define product requirements and roadmaps, advocating for technical excellence
  • Work with sales and go-to-market teams to align the value proposition of products and improve their market positioning
  • Make impactful decisions that enhance the products we sell and position to customers
  • Show a keen interest in creating new products and exploring new product offerings

What you’ll need

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in product management with a focus on data products
  • Demonstrable experience leading productive teams
  • Proven technical skills, including knowledge of SQL and the ability to work closely with engineering teams
  • Experience working with large data sets and creating machine learning models
  • Exceptional ability to connect and harmonize customer data
  • Practical experience working with sales and go-to-market teams
  • Strong bias towards making impactful decisions and creating valuable products
