Job Description

Your daily routine will be:

• Lead and actively participate in the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions within eFishery's aquaculture technology portfolio.
• Conduct comprehensive research to identify emerging AI technologies, trends, and best practices relevant to aquaculture and mechatronic devices.
• Collaborate closely with the Engineering Manager and Lead AI teams to define technical requirements and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
• Design and prototype AI algorithms, models, and platforms to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of fish farming operations.
• Develop innovative approaches for data acquisition, analysis, and decision-making through AI techniques in aquaculture settings.
• Work collaboratively with the Product Management team to translate market demands into technically feasible AI-driven product features.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and researchers within the AI R&D team.
• Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and advancements in AI technology to maintain a competitive edge.
• Contribute to patent applications, technical documentation, and publications to enhance eFishery's intellectual property portfolio.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to seamlessly integrate AI solutions into the broader aquaculture technology ecosystem.

You'll excel it if you:

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on experience in AI research and development, with a strong emphasis on algorithm development and model deployment.
• Proven track record of contributing to the creation of innovative AI solutions, evident through patents, publications, or impactful projects.
• Expertise in AI technologies, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and data analytics.
• Proficiency in programming languages frequently employed in AI development, such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
• Solid understanding of aquaculture technology, mechatronic devices, or related fields is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey intricate technical concepts.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Enthusiasm for sustainability and a deep interest in leveraging AI to elevate aquaculture practices.
