What you’ll do:

• You’ll evaluate state-of-the-art, large language model technologies.
• You’ll build proof-of-concept to show how to combine LLM and The Trade Desk data to make business impact.
• You’ll present your results and pitch new ideas.
• You’ll have the opportunity to be considered for a full-time position at the end of the internship. 

Who you are: 

You might be a great fit for a PhD Research internship at The Trade Desk if: 

• You have good knowledge of LLMs, and experience in prompt engineering and fine-tuning. Fine-tuning with RLHF would be a plus. 
• You are proficient in one or more modern object-oriented programming languages. 
• Have a firm grasp on basic data structures and algorithmic techniques. 
• You are a quick and self-directed learner. We provide close support and mentorship, but you will have ownership over the design, plan, and implementation of what you build.
• Enrolled in a PhD program with the ability to do a research internship for at least a period of 6 months, on a full-time basis.
• You are due to graduate in 2024/2025.
• You can work in our London office for the duration of your internship, for at least 3 days a week (Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday)
