What we’re looking for:

Reporting directly to our Chief Product Officer, you will play a pivotal role in driving our data and artificial intelligence strategy, ensuring the successful implementation of data-driven initiatives, and leading a high-performing cross functional team of product managers, engineers, data scientists and AI experts. You will partner with your technical ‘cofounder’ to be the anchor for all of Tide’s member facing data & AI products.

As the Vice President of Data & AI you’ll be focusing on: 

• Data Strategy Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives, driving data collection, integration, and analysis efforts.
• AI Vision and Execution: Define and execute the AI roadmap, identifying key opportunities for AI-powered solutions to enhance products, operations, and customer interactions.
• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and inspire direct and indirect reports comprising of cross functional team members such as data scientists, machine learning engineers, and AI specialists, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Data Governance: Establish data governance frameworks, ensuring data privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Collaboration: Partner with other organisations at Tide to define joint goals that are met through their focus on the customer and your team’s expertise over data/AI products.
• Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data science and AI, driving the adoption of new methodologies and tools.
• Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the long term direction of the data and AI strategy to the c-suite.

What makes you a great fit: 

• Master's or Ph.D. degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in data science, machine learning, and AI, with a track record of successfully leading data-driven initiatives.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
• Expertise in data management, data governance, and data privacy regulations.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, and experience with AI/ML frameworks and libraries.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
• Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
