Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced PM specializing in machine learning products to help revolutionize the way Fulfillment comes to life for Etsy buyers and sellers.

As a Staff PM, you will lead a new team within the Fulfillment group, partnering with applied data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts to increase transparency and buyer trust by improving estimates related to delivery timelines. This team will have ambitious goals, and play a significant role in the overall success of Etsy.

This is a full-time position reporting to the Product Lead, Fulfillment and the base salary range will be 172,000 - 224,000 USD per year. In addition to salary, you will also be eligible for an equity package, an annual performance bonus, and our competitive benefits that support you and your family as part of your total rewards package at Etsy. For this role, we are considering candidates based in the United States.You will have the option to work office-based, flex or remotely. Candidates living within commutable distance of the Etsy Brooklyn Hub, or within the San Francisco area, may be the first to be considered. What’s this team like at Etsy?

The Fulfillment group at Etsy covers a wide surface area, and owns everything from delivery date estimates to shipping labels products. Along with working on our own products, we partner with groups around the company (e.g., in the search and buyer experience) to improve the Fulfillment experience across the buyer and seller journey. This role will lead a new team within the Fulfillment group that will apply machine learning technology to our most important customer problems.

What does the day-to-day look like?

  • Define and implement a product roadmap that will achieve highly ambitious business goals and unlock strategic opportunities, while balancing short-term and long-term needs.
  • Collaborate with company leaders to develop broad Fulfillment strategies.
  • Scout opportunities for impact in collaboration with initiative partners.
  • Develop experimentation plans to validate impact and analyze results.
  • Establish a team culture aligned to Etsy's operating principles.
  • Communicate successes and opportunities to key functional partners and executives.

  • Experience working with deeply technical teams using Machine Learning and pioneering research.
  • Strong track record of leading high impact teams to achieve lofty goals.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well with a diverse set of roles.
  • Deeply inquisitive and a desire to understand the why.
  • Strong analytical abilities and data-centric product building.
  • Consummate communication skills - ability to translate highly technical concepts to partners in other domains and adept at storytelling.
  • Growth mindset - highly adaptable to changes based on new business context and opportunities, hunger for personal growth and staying apprised of the state of the art.
  • Bonus points if you have domain expertise around fulfillment / logistics, in particular around delivery date estimates.
