The ADS Team

Rappi’s Restaurant Ad product kicked-off in the second half of 2020, the Ads product currently serves on a monthly basis thousands of restaurant Brands. During 2021 the Ads team will build new product versions to scale even more.

The platform and App Ad space is fueling a new disruption in the marketing industry as Ad investments not only allow for a targeted audience reach but also track complete funnel data.

The team will be in charge of materializing the plans and projects that look promising from a business perspective, driving the company's growth and helping Rappi achieve its short and long term objectives. This is a rapid paced company, therefore, the team should be able to quickly come up with an MVP, test it, receive feedback, restructure and iterate over again to build reliable and solid products in no time. The squad will be addressing problems across the company, giving tracktion to projects and moving to the next challenge.

For this purpose, we have identified the need of a brilliant Data Scientist, who is able to cooperate with the developers team, to create ML models that improve personalization and relevance across the app for customers. Additionally, he/she will be creating optimization algorithms, structuring experiments to measure the impact of the developments and provide the team and the company with statistically significant data that proves the results of the developed technologies.

What will you do:

• Design, train, deploy and maintain supervised models using the best tool for the job
• Implement ETL's and data pipelines for feature creation and model diagnostic.
• Design experiments and interpret the results to draw detailed and actionable conclusions
• Collaborate across teams from different disciplines such as sales, marketing, engineering and operations.

What you have:

• Quantitative background in statistics, computer science, physics, math or other technical field.
• Experience in machine learning algorithms and libraries such as scikit-learn, xgboost, tensorflow, keras or pytorch.
• Experience in coding professionally(at least one year) in a dynamically typed language Python, R, etc
• Experience in FastAPI, Flask, Bottle frameworks
• Experience in OOP
• Experience working with relational databases - MySQL, Postgres, etc and proficiency in SQL
• Experience with no relational databases such as Mongodb, Redis, etc.
• Have strong problem-solving skills and like to work in complex problems
• Have a startup mindset
