The ADS team

Rappi's Restaurant Ad product launched in the second half of 2020, Ads product currently serves thousands of restaurant brands on a monthly basis. During 2021 the Ads team will build new versions of the product to scale even more.

We are looking for a Data Science Engineer who will be Responsible for building, improving, and maintaining a scalable data pipeline infrastructure required for extracting, transforming, and loading terabytes of data from thousands of sources to our analytics platform.

You will have the opportunity to apply cutting-edge technologies in a large-scale environment with a fast and challenging growth rate, assuming responsibility for internal and external services, and applying all your skills to have a impact on the entire company.

You will work with a group of international technology specialists, in an environment of high pressure and hard work.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, build, test and maintain software architectures.
• Align architectures with business needs.
• Data acquisition.
• Develop processes on the data sets.
• Use programming languages ??and tools.
• Identify ways to improve data confidence, efficiency, and quality.
• Conduct research to answer industry and business questions.
• Use large datasets to answer business problems.
• Deploy data systems.
• Prepare data for predictive and prescriptive modeling.
• Find hidden patterns using data.
• Use data to discover tasks that can be automated.
• Report news to stakeholders based on data and their analytics.

Desired Skills:

• Design and implementation of distributed systems architecture.
• Design and implementation of REST APIs.
• Modeling and data mining.
• Architectural design of database and data warehousing.
• Design and implementation of ETLs.
• Unix or Linux operating systems.
• Data analysis.
• Monitoring and debugging. Self-contained environments.
• Cloud infrastructure expertise (preferably AWS).
• Big data.
• Python.
