Job Description

• Digital Solutions: Senior Manager will work closely with teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for products, services, processes, customer experiences, marketing channels, and business models. They will formulate team strategy to align with business goals, define and mobilize needed resources, manage a deck of projects, and make decisions related to project execution, budgets, and partnerships. They will also be responsible for material data and data science efforts, and regularly communicate progress and needs with the broader SBU community.
• Multiphysics: Responsible for driving innovation and bringing new ideas and solutions to commercial viability, with a specific focus on 5G-enabled applications, autonomous vehicles, and the VR/AR space. Accountable for building the capability for application development in emerging areas for the Specialties SBU. Actively works with customers and internal stakeholders to analyze and understand market needs and strategically aligns research and development activities
• Safety, Health and Environment: Accountable for safety of people and infrastructure, participate in all EHS initiatives and ensure team participation. Ensure to follow SHEMs/OMS/LSR for self and team. Ensure safety, compliance code of conduct are owned by self & group members. Ensure reporting safety concerns without the fear of retaliation.
• External Collaborations: Regularly assess the competetive intelligence, IP, opportunities for joint development and engage with COE's, reputed institutes, Universities to develop opportunities to leverage synergistic developments
• Talent Management: Identify the competency required to deliver the projects seemlessly and analyse the gaps. Propose competency makeup plan with interdependencies, remapping, reskilling and selective recruitment. Have regular engagement with team to identify their developmental needs and aspirations. Mentor/develop scientists and engineers to develop performance culture. Establish a condusive environment for scientist to generate more ideas and create impact. Comply with all land laws related with EOU/POSH/IP/Legal and environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

• MS or Ph.D degree in Mechanical/Physics/Science/Electronics/Data Science
• Prior experience in managing organization with direct reports of multiple technical levels. Preference for someone with experience in Multiphysics/data Science/Digital solutions. This position is heavily focused on delivering application development, data Science & Digitalization. 10 Plus years of industrial experience beyond Ph.D., 5 plus years of managerial experience that includes setting people's goals and objectives and providing official performance assessment. Ability to reach out across organizational lines with sound communications including interactions with technology counterparts in the business unit, and business.
