As a Collections Strategy Analyst at TrueAccord, it is your job to help optimize performance against our clients’ benchmarks. This means understanding exactly how each client defines successful performance, then working with partners in Client Success, Product & Engineering, and our call center to find the right mix of strategic and tactical “levers” to drive our performance scores higher. This is a very high-profile role that has a significant impact on TrueAccord and is integral to the company’s success.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct comprehensive analyses of all client performance benchmarking reports (e.g., scorecards, peer group comparisons, etc.) to understand logic and mechanics behind each client’s definition of successful performance
  • Identify any pools of accounts where performance is lagging the benchmarks and be able to articulate exactly what performance changes are needed to improve our standing
  • Leveraging your deep understanding of our performance score drivers, partner with the appropriate TA functions (e.g., Product & Engineering, Client Success, Operations, etc.) to determine the right mix of strategic and tactical initiatives and ensure timely execution
  • Demonstrate end-to-end mastery of Analytics workflow for all assigned projects: Translate a request into an analytical framework (including hypothesis formation), extract relevant data, generate actionable insights through analytical model development, and clearly communicate practical solutions back to the stakeholders
  • Where necessary, turn analytical findings into business cases for executive review, with clearly-presented recommendations, justifications, and cost/benefit assessments
  • Occasionally represent Analytics team in executive-level presentations (including both TrueAccord Executive Leadership Team and senior client stakeholders)
  • Serve as a senior leader on the Analytics team by sharing knowledge, mentoring other analysts, and reinforcing best practices
  • May lead an individual analyst on a semi-permanent basis, with formal supervisory responsibilities

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience using quantitative data analysis to drive performance and improve competitive strategies is required; At least 4 years of experience in the debt collections space is necessary
  • Expertise with interpreting debt collection performance reports, understanding trends/core drivers, and identifying practical solutions to raise the bar
  • Proven ability to build complex models from scratch, perform deep analyses, and turn raw data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated pattern of being analytically curious, drilling into root causes and business impacts to answer not only “Why” but also “So What”
  • Ability to merge business objectives and technical expertise seamlessly to build effective tactical solutions that also align with long-term strategies
  • A deep understanding of proper testing practices, statistical experiment design, and results analysis
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on presenting complex material to executive audiences clearly and concisely
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills--with the ability to facilitate, negotiate, and influence within in a team environment and across functions
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, while maintaining a solid awareness of the big picture, are extremely important
  • Must be able to work effectively with little direct supervision and in the face of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and multiple deadlines
