Job Description

  • Lead the Global Information Security Architecture team (with team members located globally across multiple time zones); establish professional acumen expectations, partnerships and year-over-year deliverables.
  • Define the future and current state cybersecurity technology stack that will support the current IT state and the ongoing Digital Roadmap.
  • Assess and deploy cutting-edge themes/solutions/platforms (such as Generative AI, Machine Learning, etc.) to enable “working smarter, nor harder”.
  • Works with Enterprise Architecture to enable the enterprise digital transformation roadmap and phased approach for its execution to transform Kimberly-Clark’s ability to deliver growth capabilities around commercial transformation through digital technologies.
  • Research and evaluate new and/or alternative solutions and technologies to enhance operational effectiveness, reduce costs and/or system risks and increase speed to market including overseeing Proof of Concepts/Proof of Technologies.
  • Manage a budget that reflects current realities of spend as well as new/emerging or otherwise unseen investments.
  • Ensure alignment with industry frameworks and models such as the NIST Cyber Security Framework, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain/Intelligence Driven Defense, Top 18 CIS (Center for Internet Security) Critical Security Controls, Essential Eight, etc.
  • Oversight and ownership to include (but not limited to): Purple Team(s), DevSecOps /Application Security, Mergers and Acquisitions, etc.
  • Participate in leading industry Information Security architecture groups/roundtables/body of knowledge to ensure progressive and realistic approach to cybersecurity controls and portfolios/solutions that enable a protective landscape.
  • Present at leading forums, conferences, etc. to establish Kimberly-Clark as an industry leader in the Information Security Architecture space.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and certifications required/ preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent experience; Master’s degree is highly desirable.
  • Relevant technical/IT-related certifications, such as: Azure Solutions Architect Expert/AWS Certified Solution Expert/Google Professional Cloud Expert, Cloud Security Alliance CCSK (Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge), or other relevant cloud certifications/credentials, The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Enterprise Architecture Specialist or Enterprise Architecture Leader, CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSIP-ISSAP), SAP Certified Technology Professional - System Security Architect , or other relevant industry credentials. 

Experience:

  • Proven leadership experience, including mentoring and team development.
  • 15+ years of proven and progressive experience in IT.
  • 8+ years of experience in technology development, architecture, integration, and management.
  • 5+ years of prior hands-on experience as an engineer or architect in the Information Security space.
  • Exposure with a global/multi-national company is an asset.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a leader of people (first and foremost), programs/platforms and overall Information Security architecture vision/strategy.
  • Detailed experience developing a protection approach for a cloud-based environment.
  • Experience creating cybersecurity strategies across diverse areas of business including implementation of digital strategies, processes, and techniques.
  • Full understanding across multiple technical areas – importantly they must understand coding in modern languages including mobile app and backend development, data science and information architecture, modern IT architecture modeling, CICD, automation principles and IT security.
  • Familiarity with business and technical concepts such as business process design, applications development, and service management.
  • Innovative, detail-oriented, and extremely effective in stressful and challenging environments.
  • Demonstrated success in the development of new or existing product strategies from conception to implementation, and solution design.
  • Agile development methodology.
  • Fluent in leveraging data and metrics to ensure visibility of the environment, trends worthy of awareness and opportunities for improvement.
  • Proven ability to foster a digital transformation culture collaboratively and passionately.
  • Practical skill, knowledge, and experience in architecting and/or co-leading digital transformation journey in current or past organization with expertise in digital decoupling architecture.
  • A senior level knowledge of the system development life cycle, and system and application program development technological alternatives and architecture methodologies for multi-platform environments.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary technology and business trends that allows architecture to solve problems in a creative and cost-effective manner.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of systems architectural concepts and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system use.
  • Proven experience in navigating complex organizations, creative problem solving, and rational experimentation.
