Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Collaborate and/or leads the collaboration with business partners to understand business objectives/goals and then develop a clear and well-defined analytic plan that supports obtaining those objectives.
  • Translate business requirements and execute analytic life cycles.
  • Perform more advanced data extraction and data manipulation using data of various size and structure.
  • Explore data to understand and articulate the data profile and its limitations.
  • Perform complex predictive modeling and association modeling such as segmentation analysis, data modeling, risk modeling, behavioral analysis, cross-selling analysis, and customer churn analysis.
  • Develop trusted, actionable outcomes by applying appropriate analytical techniques and metrics.
  • Support (and at times lead) the deployment & maintenance of the analytic model.
  • Communicate clear outcomes at varying levels of detail to our business partners
  • Provide formal and informal leadership through mentorships and training.
  • Identify obstacles limiting data science capabilities of the Companies, along with opportunities to improve those capabilities.
  • Provide solution direction and leadership throughout the development lifecycle through strong consulting, communication and collaboration skills.
  • May plan, staff, direct and control department activities, including all personnel management functions for assigned staff.
  • Gathers requirements and researches solutions to improve data science resources and utilization within their team.

ABOUT YOU:

  • You are able to work remotely and have access to high-speed internet.
  • Must be located in United States or Puerto Rico.
  • Graduate degree and at least 3 years of professional work experience in analytically driven fields such as mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering, economics, data science, computer science, operations research or actuarial science or equivalent job experience.
  • Proficient at SQL to gather, aggregate and filter data from source systems.
  • Proficient in one of more computer programming languages, of which at least one must be R, Python or other general purpose coding language.
  • Thorough statistical analysis and machine learning background.
  • Thorough proficiency in data visualization.
  • Strong knowledge of structured and unstructured data platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and human relations skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of intellectual curiosity.
  • Ability to self-direct and work independently at times.
  • Good leadership & ability to build effective teams.
  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and version control.

  • Familiarity with the major components of the AWS ecosystem and ability to leverage cloud computing for fast large-scale computation.

  • Regular associates working 40 hours a week can earn up to 15 days of vacation each year
  • Regular associates receive 9 paid holidays in 2023
  • Regular associates are provided sick leave through the use of personal time. Associates working 40 hours a week can receive up to 56 hours of personal time in 2023, prorated based on start date.
  • Salary Range: $107,000 - $150,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
