Role: Data Modeler Architect

Job description:

In this Role, the Data Modelling Expert is responsible to:

• Perform data analysis, data modeling, and data mapping following industry and data design standards for analytics/data warehouses and operational data stores across various GCP data store types, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Big Table, Redis etc.
• Facilitate and actively participate in data model/data mapping reviews and audits, fostering collaborative working relationships and partnerships with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, and training as needed in data modeling, data lineage, ddl code, and the associated data catalog toolsets (Ex: Alation, Google Data Catalog).
• Assist with the creation, documentation, and maintenance of data design standards and best practices involving data modeling, data mapping, and metadata capture including data sensitivity, data quality rules, and reference data usage.
• Develop and facilitate strong partnerships and working relationships with Data Governance, delivery, and other data partners.
• Continuously improve operational processes for data design metadata management for global and strategic data. Interact with Business stakeholders and IT in defining and managing data design.
• Work with Client Technical Manager by understanding customer’s landscape & their IT priorities.

Desired Candidate Profile Technology & Engineering Expertise

• 8+ years of extensive experience in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling for transactional systems, data warehouses, data lakes
• Expertise in data modelling for analytics/data warehouses and operational data stores across various GCP data stores, including BigQuery, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Big Table, Redis etc.
• Mastery in analyzing data and functionality for diverse enterprise-scale transactional, streaming, and analytical style demands.
• Proficient in ELT and ETL approaches on GCP.
• Proficient in Master data management
• Competence utilizing SQL.
• Knowledge of Microservices implementations on GCP
• Knowledge in Data Catalog, Data Governance, Data Security
• Knowledge of Data Warehousing concepts and cloud-based technologies preferred.
• Excellent SQL skills
• Good to be GCP certified.
• Experience with different development methodologies (RUP | Scrum | XP) Soft skills
