About the Data Science Team

Adthena is a market leader in developing competitive intelligence for search. Our award winning technology includes complex ETL and machine learning solutions. We have published authors in our engineering and data science team who contribute some of the major machine learning and distributed data technologies. we are a friendly, passionate group of engineers making a career out of building great software for our customers.

Our data science tech stack includes a variety of tools and technologies that are used across the entire machine learning lifecycle, from data ingestion and processing to model training and deployment. Some of the key technologies and tools we use include: Dask/Ray/Polars/Spark for data processing, Airflow/Luigi for workflow management, PyTorch/Flair/Fastai/AutoGluon for model distribution training, BentoML/MLFlow for model experiment, monitoring and management.

Reporting to: Director of Data Science & Analytics

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype and test machine learning and deep learning algorithms to solve real-world problems in the highly challenging environment of search advertising.
• Collaborate with our product and engineering teams to build and integrate successful solutions.
• Facilitate thought leadership and best practices on Data Science across the business.
• Understand and translate business requirements from non-technical stakeholders
• Present technical solutions to them to the wider business.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in STEM fields.
• Strong commercial experience with a strong track record of shipping successful end to end AI//DL/ML products.
• Experience leading a data science team, and being responsible for all aspects of data science projects, including development and deployment.
• Expert in Python with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles
• Industry experience machine learning and deep learning methods for natural language process or inference and computational advertising related applications
• Experience with PyTorch and related deep learning toolings such as Flair, Fastai, Optuna, Horovod and etc.
• Experience with model management and serving in machine learning such as BentoML, Cortex, TF Serving and etc.
• Experience with cloud environments (e.g. AWS, GCP)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with design and implementation of industrial leading MLOPs infrastructure and best practices would be preferred 
• Familiar with the usage of 3rd parties data (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Omniture Analytics, Adobe Campaign etc.) would be beneficial
• Track record of industry recognition which could be in the form of high impact research outputs, contribution to high impact open source projects or performance in open source competitions such as Kaggle would be a bonus
