Job Description

What to expect:

You will be part of a team that works on reinforcing, optimizing, and scaling our neural network training & auto-labeling infrastructure and framework both for Autopilot and the Tesla Bot.

What you will do:

• Optimize the architecture and configuration of our distributed hardware (CPU, GPU, fabric, storage).
• Work with hardware vendors (PyTorch, NVIDIA) to tune and optimize our supercomputers.
• Characterize all components of our supercomputers for insights into stability and health.
• Profiling and microbenchmarking C++ and Python applications
• Optimize our code to squeeze every single FLOP and byte out of available hardware on the supercomputers.

What you will bring:

• Demonstrated experience in profiling, observing and debugging distributed systems
• Solid systems knowledge and relevant understanding of the linux kernel
• Experienced in Python and C++
• Suggested: Experience with modern machine learning architecture
• Suggested: Experience with high-performance networking or distributed storage systems.

Expected Compensation

$104,000 - $360,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
