This is a hybrid position, both in-office and remote.

This internship is scheduled to start Summer Semester 2023.

We are looking for a highly talented and motivated undergraduate student who is pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical fields.

As a Knowledge Science Intern, you will:

• Work on cutting-edge knowledge-based computation platforms
• Contribute to next-generation AI-enabled business rules frameworks, including Decision Modeling/Orchestration, Decision as a Service (DaaS), Domain Specific Language (DSL), etc.
• Gain first-hand experience on modern system architecture, such as Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) and enabling technology such as REST, JSON, Kafka, containerization, etc.
• Apply the fundamentals from Computer Science/Engineering curriculum onto real-world problems.
• Communicate your work to other teams and develop your skills explaining technical subjects to a business audience

A successful candidate will:

• Be self-motivated and able to contribute in a team setting
• Excel at problem solving, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Have demonstrated experience programming in at least one of the mainstream languages such as Java, Python, C++, etc.
• Show solid skills in data structure and algorithms design/analysis
• Have good understanding of software architecture, Object-Oriented (OO) analysis/design, and commonly-used design patterns such as factory, composite, etc.
• Demonstrate understanding of core mathematical concepts for Computer Science, such as mathematical logic, set theory, etc.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program and have completed at least one course or equivalent experience with programming in Java, Python, C++, or other similar languages.
