Job Description

We are a leading upstream oil and gas technology and service company looking for a Technical Sales Representative to promote and sell our Data Science platform and collaborate with customers to develop novel data science solutions through our Innovation Factori consulting arm. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key decision-makers, and driving revenue growth.

In this position, you will develop professional and lasting relationships with our customers up to the executive level to identify and develop sales opportunities. You will work closely with the sales organization, business development teams, data scientists and subject matter experts to develop and close opportunities.

The Data Science Technical Sales Engineer will develop a deep understanding of our digital strategy and use their expertise to drive revenue growth in their region.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in our customer organizations to understand their data science requirements and strategy.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and other lead generation methods.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to achieve revenue targets for our end-to-end Data Science Platform with complete MLOps capabilities to upstream oil and gas operators.
  • Collaborate with customers through our Innovation Factori consulting arm to develop and deliver AI solutions to address upstream specific challenges.
  • Work closely with the internal technical teams and data scientists to understand customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
  • Provides technical support for marketing activities such as presentations, demonstrations, and technology launches.
  • Develop proposals and lead negotiations with customers.
  • Attend conferences and trade shows to promote the AI Platform and Innovation Factori.
  • Provide regular updates on sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.
  • Open to actively learning and developing skills in new technologies within SLB and through our partnership programs.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships and proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts and their applications in the upstream oil and gas industry.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
