We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2023. Internships at TikTok aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at TikTok.

Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following internship cycles below: -

• Summer Internship - 08 May 2023 to 28 July 2023 (12 weeks)
• Off-cycle Internship - Starting 09 January 2023 or 14 August 2023

We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit in either internship period. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).

About the Team

Our Speech & Audio team provides industry-leading ML algorithm capabilities and complete voice product solutions for all business lines, including B2B as well. We empower businesses in the fields of speech/song synthesis, audio understanding, ML education, etc., and solve basic problems such as audio and video content understanding and creation, and human-computer voice interaction.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cutting-edge research together with our research scientist on research topics like multimodal learning, speech-to-speech translation, adversarial machine learning, video generation, anti-spoofing, transfer learning, voice conversion, text-to-speech generation, etc.
• Publish papers on top-tier conferences and journals, such as ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, AAAI, KDD, IJCAI, ICASSP, Interspeech.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate, or Postgraduate who is currently pursuing a Master/PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline;
• Candidates are preferred to have publications/submissions in relevant top-tier conferences/journals.
• Familiar with the recent advance in the field of deep learning, e.g., generative models, transformers.
• Self-driven, innovative, collaborative, with good communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in one or more of the community open source tools such as Pytorch, Tensorflow, Jax.
