In this role, you will be leading a team of diverse, talented, and driven applied machine learning scientists while balancing personnel challenges with business requirements. You will be working with highly motivated and extremely talented data scientists whose primary focus is in applying data mining techniques, deep learning and in general machine learning algorithms to cutting edge business problems. The team is also experienced in statistical analysis and in building high quality prediction systems integrated with our products and solutions. You will join a diverse and international team in our Dublin offices, which are located just off Grafton Street in the heart of the city.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a Machine Learning team of motivated data scientists and AI engineers focused on building innovative deep learning and machine learning algorithms
• Develop engineers, data scientists and a cohesive high-performance team that thrives in a culture of trust, respect, and inclusion.
• As a hands-on manager, participate in key technical and design discussions with your team members and other stakeholders
• Build and maintain a modern serverless ML-powered GraphQL stack that will support rapid iteration and drive new feature delivery.
• Day-to-day operational support of engineering infrastructure, products, and services, including on-call routine.
• Technical depth to partner with tech leads to develop rapid prototyping phase and all the way through to serving live traffic at scale for high-quality end-to-end user experiences 
• Partner with technology and product leadership to define and drive product vision, strategy, and metrics, galvanizing teams to follow you.

Requirements:

• Experience in leading team of 5 or more data scientists and AI engineers at all levels as people manager
• 5+ years of hands on experience with common machine learning tools like Scikit-Learn and deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, Torch/PyTorch
• 3+ years of industry experience in building and deploying end-to-end ML solutions that deliver value to products
• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and dimensional modeling concepts
• Familiarity with modern ETL stack (Airflow, DBT, Snowflake)
• Experience with Cloud infrastructure provisioning and integration patterns
• Excellent collaborative working style with a proven ability to execute and deliver results
• Fluent communicator able to quickly identify relevant information clearly and concisely
• Ability to innovate and identify new technology to improve current practices
