Job Description

MetroStar Systems is looking for a full-time, motivated Full-Stack Software Engineer to join Client Solutions Group and support AI and ML platform and infrastructure. The role will involve authoring and maintaining tools, back- and front-end engineering, and operational capabilities for enhancing Machine Learning tools, libraries, UX, and UI.

• Advanced knowledge web development, deployment and software engineering g. Javascript, Java, Python, Go, React, etc.
• Support DevOps culture, processes, and technology
• Able to fix bugs in software written in a range of languages and contribute fixes to the upstream projects
• Expertise in networking and distributed systems
• Previous experience in contributing to open-source tools and libraries
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well on a team as well as independently
• An active Secret clearance or clearable to that level

We'll REALLY love it if you have: (This is the bonus stuff that makes you stand out)

• Experience with packaging software for a Software Distribution
• Previous experience with commercial cloud g. AWS, GCP, Azure etc.
• Open-source contributions in DevOps, Design, and AI/ML space
• Understanding of Data Science workflow and tools g. Jupyter

What your day will look like: 

• Be a key member of Client Solutions Group (CSG) at MetroStar
• Consult on and advance usage of software engineering process and client engagement
• Identify, create and support new initiatives in Data Science and Machine Learning ecosystem
• Participate in speaking engagements and business development opportunities aligned with OSS offerings
• Contribute to key open-source projects aligned with CSG’s goals and vision
