As Machine Learning Student/Intern in the Machine Learning SW R&D team, you will contribute to the development of embedded software libraries and tools that enable the latest innovations in the field of artificial intelligence and machine learning.

Job Summary

• Contribute to eIQ ML software including popular open-source Machine Learning inference/compiler frameworks such as TensorFlow, ONNX Runtime, Arm NN, Glow, TVM, and NXP's proprietary SW.
• Contribute to eIQ Toolkit – a desktop-based environment for training, optimization, validation, profiling, and other tasks used in machine learning model development.
• Investigate latest research papers, technologies and implement proofs-of-concept based on the findings.
• Implement Continuous Integration technologies to support development – automated tests and builds (Bamboo, Jenkins).

Your team

• MLTEC – Machine Learning Technology Excellence Center, part of Business Line Edge Processing
• A fresh, but well-established team working together for 3+ years responsible for a wide range of Machine Learning SW products being deployed on the complete NXP HW portfolio.
• Distributed across multiple countries – US (Austin, Texas), Romania, China with leadership in the US and cooperating with multiple international teams in France, Netherlands, and others. Communication in English and in Czech.
• Czech team has 8 team members ranging from juniors to senior experts and is expected to grow to roughly 12 throughout the year.

The team is responsible for the following:

• Enablement of machine learning drivers and inference engines on ARM-based microprocessors (MPU) and microcontrollers (MCU)
• Development of machine learning tooling for training, optimizing, and deploying neural network models on MPUs and MCUs
• Design and requirement specification for eIQ Machine Learning software (http://www.nxp.com/eiq)
• Contributing to opensource communities such as TensorFlow or other software used on our devices
• Investigating, prototyping, and enabling the latest innovations in AI and ML
• Supporting important customers to fully leverage NXP’s machine learning solutions
