Job Description

Senior Camera Algorithm Engineer

• Research, design and develop camera and convex optimization algorithms for smartphone perception systems, and the optimization of the camera system memory and processing pipelines, using the approaches of probability and statistic theories, computer data structure and algorithms, image analysis algorithms, computer vision algorithms, and convex optimization.
• Prototype the camera system development kit on next generation perception sensors, including camera engine and framework; evaluate the existing consumer electronics grade sensors.
• Localize, investigate, discover, and solve the emerging problems.
• Develop object-oriented software and Linux camera driver interfacing with sensor firmware including configurations, communication protocols, etc. to ensure the quality of the data stream from the sensor and the optimization of the camera system memory and processing pipelines.

Require:

• Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, or Electrical and Computer Engineering. 6 months’ experience in job offered or as Software Engineer.
• Academic or experience background in image analysis and computer vision, adaptive digital filters, filter synthesis, statistical digital signal processing, convex optimization, data mining and text mining; development of Linux software driver, camera engine and framework; optimization of camera system memory and processing pipelines. Will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.

Salary range: $125,050/year to $180,000/year.
