About the Role

Dynamic, security-focused SaaS and IoT company in Bethesda, MD seeks a Data Scientist to help us execute our ambitious data analysis roadmap on our security-oriented IoT solutions. The data science team uses AI and ML to develop new value propositions for the Brivo platform. We are looking for someone who has a love for applying statistical techniques to data and a talent for finding nuances and trends in large datasets. With a 15+ years record of innovation and industry leadership, Brivo is a self-sustaining high-growth company that develops both the software and connected device components for our service offerings. Currently serving over 40,000 B2B clients worldwide with a significant push towards further expansion.

You will also be expected to:

• Perform data analysis to answer business questions
• Use BI tools to visualize analysis results and showcase insights obtained from data
• Identify patterns in collected data
• Use state-of-the-art data mining and machine learning techniques to search for actionable insights in data.
• Leveraging modern technologies to automate data analysis and report generation

About You

• At least junior year status at an accredited educational institution
• Basic knowledge of SQL language
• Familiarity with at least one modern programming language
• Basic knowledge of data storage, retrieval and manipulation technologies (databases, datalakes, data warehouses)
• Familiarity with data analysis methodologies and techniques (statistical analysis, data mining)
• Good communications skills and ability to work in a team
