Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic student to join our Maps Analytics team in Madrid! As a Data/Python Engineer Intern, you will immerse yourself in the data world, collecting, analyzing, and transforming data, and scaling-up processes to help us upgrade our maps for our end-customers! We look for people who are curious, innovative, out of the box thinker, loves taking risk and work to make system better every day.

The impact you'll make

• You will help us collect large amounts of unruly (spatial) data and transform it into a more usable format
• You will solve business-related problems using data-driven techniques
• You will help us to stay on top of computational techniques such as big data computing, real-time computing, continuous development
• You will identify patterns in data, as well as spotting trends that can help improving the business’s bottom line
• You will communicate and collaborate with both Data Scientists and with the Maps Operations Team globally

What you'll need

• You should be enrolled as a full-time student for the entire duration of the internship
• You have an EU citizenship or enrolment in a Spanish university due to work permit regulations
• You are available to start 1st of September
• You are fluent in English
• You have programming experience with Python and SQL
• You have experience working with the main python libraries for data processing (pyspark, pandas, numpy,…)
• You have experience with data visualization (storytelling) (e.g., dash, streamlit)
• Being familiar with Microsoft cloud computing (Azure & Databricks)
