Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Development of perception software and new functions in the world of ADAS/ autonomous driving with Ultrasonic sensors (USS) and fused data.
  • Support the ADAS/AD team with your profound knowledge of pros and cons of the USS approaches, especially in comparison to other sensor techniques.
  • Cooperation with several partners in order to achieve the best integration of all components. Extend your knowledge about the advantages (and disadvantages) of individual sensors. Apply it in order to achieve the best performance of the overall system.
  • Definition of KPIs and follow their evolution during the development process.
  • Test of the implementation on simulations, the hardware and in the targeted product/ prototype vehicles. This also includes regular test drives for you as a developer in order to get the real customer feeling in our high-quality products.
  • You will be one of the first to experience the latest ADAS and autonomous driving systems first-hand.
  • Development aiming for prototype and especially for series production, including autonomous driving capabilities.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in electrical engineering, HF engineering, physics or comparable studies
  • Min. 5 years of experience in developing lidar / USS applications in the automotive field
  • Experience to convert 1D signal to 2D/3D for USS
  • Experience in handling point cloud data from USS
  • Experience in developing envelope statistics for USS
  • Experience with active development of software
  • Deep knowledge in C / C++ and Matlab
  • Test driven development experience
  • SCRUM/ Agile experience
  • A good communicator with the ability to communicate complex ideas
  • An effective team player who supports team members
  • The role needs an individual who is highly creative and can think laterally
  • Machine / Deep Learning experience is advantageous
