The Data Science Intern will support growth of the Data Science function at Zurn Elkay by seeking out new project opportunities and supporting ongoing Data Science initiatives. This will give the student the opportunity to learn how to leverage data science to support business decisions for strategic advantage by extracting insights on market opportunities, growth and cost savings from systems and data.

Key Accountabilities

• Lead a Data Science project with a business partner
• Contribute to the Data Science framework
• Improve an existing Data Science process.

Qualifications/Requirements

• A student that is currently enrolled for the completing of their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data (Science, Analytics, Information Systems, Programming), Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business or related field.
• Students completing their Sophomore or Junior year preferred
• Prior coding experience required. Preferably experience with R or Python
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
• Ability to work 40 hours per week over the Summer
