Decision Science Intern

Jaguar Land Rover North America’s internship program is a great opportunity for college students entering their junior or senior year, or who are currently in a graduate school program, to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of the automotive industry! This is a great opportunity for personal growth and development from a business and learning perspective.

Details of the program:

• The program is only open to students at a Junior or Senior level in their Bachelor’s Degree program, or who are enrolled in a Graduate School program.
• The paid Internship is for a full year, June 2023 to May 2024, and the successful intern must be able and willing to commit to the full length of the program.
• Intern is asked to work for 25-29 hours per week during business hours in the Mahwah, NJ office (Business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM, and the intern’s actual daily schedule will work around their class schedule).

Department: Decision Science

Location: Mahwah, New Jersey (Hybrid Ways of Working Schedule offered)

What you will be doing:

• Focusing on data engineering and data visualization activities across different departments (i.e., Sales Operations, Finance, Marketing, Product, etc.)
• Assisting with data ingestion and transformation activities, loading data into our data lake. Additionally, intern will help with the refactoring of existing data pipelines.
• Assisting with building and upgrading data visualizations, leveraging integration between Tableau and our data lake.

What you will need:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (Junior or Senior) or pursuing a graduate studies degree during FY 23/24.
• Computer Science or Data Science majors a plus, but not required.
• 0 GPA or higher
• Significant experience or proficiency writing database queries with SQL.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud infrastructure (e.g. AWS) a plus, but not required.
• Experience with Tableau or other data visualization tool a plus, but not required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Houry Rate: $18/hour
