As Senior Statistician on our team, you’ll work directly with ex-senior leaders from Google, YouTube, TikTok, and Reddit, build and commercialize cutting-edge technologies, and have the opportunity to develop your skills across a varied tech stack. You can expect rapid growth and mentorship opportunities, meaningful work, and a fun work environment.

We are a small, global, mostly remote team and you can be based anywhere in the UK, Germany or US; we're looking for someone to join us full-time (40hrs/week) for 3 months, with opportunity to extend.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, conduct, analyze, and interpret controlled tests to evaluate the prevalence of harmful content on social media
  • Design data collection methodologies and sampling strategies to obtain statistically significant results while minimizing costs
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and communicate findings to various technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Scrappily analyze data from disparate data sources (e.g., databases, files, spreadsheets) using Python, notebooks, and cloud technologies
  • Work with engineering team to test and deploy automated data analysis pipelines

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
  • Deep understanding of experimental design / design of experiments
  • Technical expertise regarding data models, SQL, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Working knowledge of Python, software development and cloud technologies
  • Experience working with social media content a strong plus
  • Experience and interest in data visualization a strong plus
  • Proven work experience in a related field
  • Bachelor's degree in statistics, computer science, data science or related field preferred
