Job Description

The internship will be a part of the Solar Engineering team to develop in-house solar engineering software applications. The intern will grow as a professional by learning from the Solar Innovation Manager, their direct supervisor, their mentor and the solar engineering department. The successful candidate will be an autonomous quick-learner with an adaptive mindset, not afraid to take initiative and learn from their colleagues. The mission of the internship is to assist the Solar Innovation Manager with improving in-house solar engineering software applications, while participating into the businesses digital transformation.

Responsibilities

Goals of the Internship:

• Analyze solar project assessment and design methods in order to integrate them into code
• Create data visualizations and/or dashboards
• Writing code to integrate new functionalities into existing applications

Skills to acquire:

• Master python software development an database management
• full proficiency in data analysis and problem solving
• Assess design optimization processes
• Understand solar engineering process and methodology on selected activities

Qualifications

Graduate or Undergraduate in Computer Science, Data Science or Mathematics preferred

1-2 years of experience in scientific software development

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to learn quickly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word and PyCharm. VS Code or equivalent
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with minimum supervision
• Python, databases and SQL, VCS

Working Conditions:

100% of time in the office enviornment, utilizing computers, phones, and general office equipment
