The Role

We’re looking for a full-stack engineer to help drive a major new initiative at Gridmatic to become a retailer for clean energy, and build out innovative renewable energy products.

We value the ability to push through uncertainty, take ownership of projects, work with third-party data sources and partners to gather data, and build out a web platform from end-to-end. You’ll work across the stack with Python, React, Postgres, Kubernetes, and GCP, but you’re not expected to be an expert in every one of these technologies—we look for people who can learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Build out a web app for large commercial customers to enable them to visualize clean energy usage and spend
• Work with third-parties to pull in energy usage data, public renewable energy data, and integrate billing and other key operational systems
• Work closely with our retail business product owners to help improve automation and scale up to hundreds of customers
• Build automation and productivity tools to enable growth and scaling of our go-to-market efforts

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building scalable web applications on cloud infrastructure
• Comfort building out user authorization flows, third party integrations, and data visualizations
• Love for shipping and iterating quickly on product, and collaborating closely with product owners
• Self-starter with strong initiative and ability to think outside the box
