We are looking for a versatile software engineer to help design and build out new infrastructure. The types of problems you will be working on span across multiple areas such as distributed programming, large-scale system design, and data engineering. An ideal candidate has the ability to learn new technologies quickly and is comfortable with pair programming, whiteboarding, and engaging in back-of-the-envelope calculations with team members. Interest in energy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing machine learning and deep learning systems for power system applications.
• Running machine learning tests and experiments to rapidly iterate and improve production-quality models.
• Monitoring and maintaining the quality of existing models.
• Putting creative approaches to the test with fast, revenue-impacting results.
• Implementing appropriate ML algorithms.

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years of software development experience, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Experience with a programming language such as Python, Go, or C/C++.
• Experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
