Job Title: Lead Robotics Engineer

Worksite Location: Ann Arbor, MI

Job Description:

• Lead and contribute to architectural design and frameworks such as middleware, autonomy software components, autonomy frameworks, internal tooling and introspection applications for robotics systems for vehicle manufacturing and deployment of autonomous vehicles.
• Develop and deploy advanced techniques and extensions of theories of own field and related disciplines (implemented in C or Python).
• Develop and maintain a full-system view and expertise (depth & breadth across the autonomy stack as well as the accompanying parts of the May ecosystem). Identify opportunities for improvement in company technology architectures and frameworks (MCM, VX, MPDM).
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and standards (MISRA, UL4600, ISO26262) and advocate for their application to engineering.
• Present and discuss technical topics (frameworks, software design and components, introspection and tooling, metrics) with guild and wider organizations (via lab meetings, or more ad-hoc sessions).
